- Artist Statement: “Waiting” – This is so true of this painting. Emerging from the canvas is a women waiting for herself to arrive. A boat waits for the wind to move her sails. A moon waits for her turn to become full and shine light below. A bird waits for her lessons in learning to fly. The ocean waits for the tide to flow. I feel this painting depicts the importance when painting I need to learn to wait, be patient, listen and to trust my heart.
