- Artist Statement: “Planting Seeds for Our Future” – I just loved painting with the rich glazes of orange and red here. Every time I added a different thin glaze of colour the richness and depth became more apparent. I often become connected to my paintings through music or emotions. I was looking where I had been and about the journey I had ahead. The ideas, the planting of them and the nurturing that it took for that idea to grow. Not every idea or seed becomes that stunning tree or the grand plan. If we never planted that seed – where would we be?
