- Artist Statement: “The Journey Ahead “- The hills of my home begin to take form again. Then I realize this is about the journey, that has been and the long journey ahead. I did not paint the figure or see the figure in the right hand corner, until I stepped back to view the painting. I realized that if I always had the gift of being able to listen to my inner self and heart ,the figure emerging is me and will always be there – if I dare.
